Naomi J. Norman ’75 Gains New Appointment at the University of Georgia

Naomi J. Norman ’75 was appointed associate vice president for instruction at the University of Georgia. She is a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor in the department of classics. Norman joined the faculty at the University of Georgia in 1980. From 2004 to 2013, she was the editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Archaeology.

Professor Norman is a magna cum laude graduate of Bryn Mawr with a bachelor’s degree in both Greek and Classical and Near Eastern archaeology. She holds a Ph.D. in classical art and archaeology from the University of Michigan.
