Rosi Amador ’81 Selected to Narrate New HHS Podcast

Through a highly competitive audition process, Rosi Amador ’81 was selected as the new female narrator of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ weekly news series, Health Care 411. The bilingual series, which includes podcasts and public-service announcements, is meant improve the health of the Hispanic community in the United States. The series is produced by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services). It is distributed to over 1,000 radio stations nationwide and available by download on the AHRQ website and through iTunes. The series is also available as streaming audio on the AHRQ website (listen to the latest podcast here).

Amador, originally from Puerto Rico, is of Puerto Rican and Argentine descent. She is the lead singer of  the acclaimed Latin band Sol y Canto, which recently celebrated the College’s 125th anniversary with a performance at Bryn Mawr’s Reunion 2011.
