Everyone and I, a new work by playwright Elizabeth Scanlon ’99, premieres next week as part of the 2013 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts. Taking audiences back to 1959, Everyone and I will offer a glimpse into renowned poet Frank O’Hara’s writing of his elegiac poem, “The Day Lady Died”— a reaction to the death of jazz great Billie Holiday. The one-act play runs Thursday, March 28-Sunday, April 7 and will be performed in the Dorrance H. Hamilton Garden at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, 300 South Broad Street.
