Robert Young, M.S.S. ’57, is the author of If Not Now, When, a volume of poetry issued in May by Poetica Publishing Company. Young, who also holds a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work, has taught at Bryn Mawr, Penn, Virginia Commonwealth University, Norfolk State, and Old Dominion University. From 1973 to 1991 he was an associate professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School’s department of psychiatry, where he was a psychotherapist, an administrator, and a teacher.
Doris Baker, author of The Originals and I’ll Let You Know When We Get There, says of the collection: “Even in his poetry about common subjects, this poet invites you to discover extraodinary ideas and feelings, dry humor or heavy sorrow hidden inside his words.”
